Wine of the week:
A method known as Saignee or Bleeding is used to draw juice from the grapes prior to fermentation. The blend is then cold-fermented in stainless steel with a selected yeast strain prior to sterile filtration and bottling. The resulting wine is bright pink in colour with a pungent aromatic profile from the Syrah and juicy flavours from the Cinsaut and Grenache.
Beautifully bright pink colour with pungent fruity flavours of red berries and a touch of spice. Smooth and round on the palate with a balanced natural acidity. A refreshing wine with a mouthwatering finish.
