We believe your event should be an expression of yourself and as experienced creative designers we not only coordinate, we create.
We believe your event should be an expression of yourself and as experienced creative designers we not only coordinate, we create.
We believe it’s important to never stop learning. After years of study in all areas of the event industry, keeping current with all the trends is a huge part of our daily routines.
We believe in the client relationship. We are a boutique. We are your team. We, most likely, will become your friends. We do one event a day, for a truly personalized experience.
Spectacular weddings come in all shapes and sizes. We maximize your budget through relationships with the best vendors in the industry.
We believe in doing. We’ve studied floral design, managed a vineyard, partnered in all aspects of the catering business, and have planned hundreds of weddings and events.
We believe everyday is an adventure. We love the country, we love the city and we love exploring both — for work or play, every chance we get to refresh ourselves with the latest trends in fashion, food and entertainment.
Most of all, we believe in the power of a good laugh. We always remember to laugh, and never, ever take ourselves too seriously.
We believe in collaboration. We will create a family of vendors to work together to make sure you can find joy in every minute of the day.

I have always had a passion for design, but it was New York City that really launched my career goals into high gear. Driven by the fast pace and the energy of so many creative people, I found opportunities to study side-by-side with some of the most talented floral designers in the industry, at the renowned Parsons School of Design. Working with flowers gave me so much insight into the impact of color, texture and fragrance and how those elements can transform an event into something magical and memorable. I love working with people. I love making them laugh. I love working hard to execute their vision for the perfect event. I love designing unique and gorgeous events that reflect their own personal style and that are as unique as they are. It makes my job very rewarding and puts a smile on my face every day. Not everyone can say that their job is their passion – I’m lucky that my job is my dream come true.

For as long as I can remember I have always loved accessorizing and I have always focused on the little details that tie everything together from jewelry to the ribbon on a package. As I have gotten older I have enjoyed planning parties, showers and weddings with friends and family. I love to see the look on the peoples faces when they see everything come together. I love photography because it allows you to capture all the details and special moments that are so meaningful….
As a former True Event bride, I fell in love with the industry after planning my own wedding with Sarah True. After graduating from Duke, I worked in Management Consulting and then Corporate Finance. Here, I sharpened my analytical and organizational skills while also learning the importance of professionalism and client management. For many years, I chased my love of my design on the side, by helping friends decorate their homes, hosting the occasional dinner or themed party, collaging, antiquing, and curating killer gift guides. However, over time, I found myself craving more creativity in my work. Through my own wedding planning experience, I recognized my true calling. Now I have the best of both worlds! I love that I’m able to hone my background and skills while also working with our clients to bring their creative vision to life.
I’ve had a passion for events with a dream of working in weddings since I was a little girl. My introduction to the event industry was during college where I interned with both a wedding planner and corporate company. Those experiences piqued my interest, and after graduating from Bryant University with a double major in Marketing and Spanish, I launched into a career working in events within higher education. I spent over 6 years working at the University of Rhode Island and most recently at Harvard University.
My time in higher education built the foundation of my career but I knew my next opportunity needed to be one that encouraged creative expression, fostered strong relationships and focused on organization and attention to detail; all skills I consider to be my strengths.
After planning, then re-planning my own wedding multiple times in 2020 (hello COVID brides and grooms), I knew it was time to pursue a career in the industry I’ve always desired most. If you ask my friends or family what my dream has always been, they’ll respond with wedding planning. I frequently say “I love, love” but more importantly, I love working with people who love it too. I’m so excited to bring the knowledge, experience and skills I’ve gained in the last 8 years to True Event.
