Wedding Wednesday… Dessert to Go

Perhaps it’s the New Englander in me or the farm girl at heart, but I’m not over the Mason Jar trend. Sure, it’s been used in every imaginable way, but that’s because it is so versatile! One of my favorite ways to use a canning car is by baking dessert in them. This idea is not only great for those single servings that you crave late at night (who, me?) but is also perfect for a to-go dessert for your wedding guests! After all that dancing and celebrating, your guests may not feel like having to sit down and eat the cake that has been sitting out at their place for a while. With the jar, they can take the dessert back to their room for those midnight cravings. I also love the idea of using the jars for breakfast the next morning – think yogurt parfaits! The possibilities are endless!
