When you first step out of your car in front of the Ocean House, the smell of the salt in the air and the cool breeze of the water are intoxicating. You feel as though you were transported to a tropical destination, but in reality this magnificent getaway is in the near by and inviting state or Rhode Island. Last week we had the pleasure of spending some time at the Ocean House and Weekapaug Inn as guests, with some of our very talented friends in the industry.
The Ocean House is the ultimate destination for your wedding or special event. Recently awarded Forbes 5 star status the Ocean House boasts the most incredible service, with luxurious accommodations that are designed to perfection. Their suites are unique with large open living spaces and many rooms that are equipped with terraces overlooking the crashing waves of the beach below. Our day began with a class of wine and cheese pairings in the Penthouse Suite, led by the food forager at the Ocean House. That was followed by a tour of the hotel and it’s many amenities: a 5 star spa, fully equipped gym, lap pool, and a perfectly manicured croquet lawn. The day ended with lots of conversation, great wine, and an amazing three-course meal in Season’s. Dining at Season’s is a really special experience with a chef that focuses on local, seasonal fare. The food, the wine, the service and the atmosphere of the hotel are what set the Ocean House apart as a 5 star property.
We ended our amazing trip with a brunch at the newly remodeled sister hotel, the Weekapaug Inn. A tour of the Weekapaug Inn also revealed a beautiful gem in the relaxing and cozy community of Weekapaug. The inn offers farm to table casual dining and sweeping views of the Quonochontug Pond and the Atlantic Ocean.
We were so pleased to partner with the Ocean House for this special event. And it was so great to catch up with the ladies of Merci New York, Paper Moss, Daughter of Design and A.a.B Creates.
We can’t wait for this season’s events at both of these gorgeous properties!
