Friday Wine Tasting…Zardetto Prosecco!

January 18, 2013

Last night I was lucky to attend the Style Me Pretty Wedding Book Launch Soiree at Grettacole! What a fun girls night out, hearing the amazingly talented Abby Larson do a reading and a Q&A! So wonderful seeing so many great friends! We even got a copy of the book! You all know what I’m be reading this weekend.

Wine of the Week:
Zardetto Prosecco

Winemaker’s notes:
A blend of 95% Prosecco and 5% Chardonnay.  Crystal clear with a hearty white foam and fine perlage. Fresh fragrant aromas and a delicately soft and harmonious taste are the hallmarks of this quintessential aperitif wine.Coming from the vineyards situated in the natural continuation of the Conegliano Valdobbiadene hills to the east, these wines are the best known types of Prosecco in the world, a fortunate ambassador. Simple, fragrant and light, they are at the heart of happy get-togethers and are perfect as an aperitif. Made from 100% Prosecco grapes sourced from selected vineyards around the hills of Conegliano. The first fermentation takes place after a brief maceration, which enhances the typical tropical aromas of the Prosecco grapes. These intense fruity aromas continue to develop during the second fermentation, which takes place in large temperature-controlled stainless steel containers.
