Wedding Wednesday… Holiday Affair

December 5, 2012

It’s that most wonderful time of the year when friends and family host parties filled with sparkle and holiday cheer! Whether it’s a small gathering with your closest friends or a huge festive affair, here are some really fun and easy ways to bring holiday details into your party without decking the halls with red and green bows everywhere. These ideas can also translate beautifully for any holiday wedding!

1. Favors – Whether you’re hosting a huge party or needing ideas for your wedding, handing out little saplings as favors is always a sure bet. Wrap them up with burlap or plaid and tie them with a simple twine bow, all dressed and ready for your guests to enjoy!

2. Modern Swag – I love a good wreath just as much as the next person, but how fun and chic would it be to have a different wreath design this year? A semi-circle wreath design trimmed with a velvet ribbon, is the perfect way to welcome your guests. And how cute would these be hanging on the back of the bride and groom’s chair?

3. Garlands – Who said you have to always have evergreen garlands? A simple paper garland can do wonders for your holiday soiree and will fit in nicely with some greenery and candlelight. Plus, with a paper garland you won’t have any pesky needles to sweep up afterwards!

4. Eggnog Signature Drink – Need I say more? Having a festive signature drink like eggnog will set the tone for your party! Let your guests indulge on this sweet holiday cocktail, just make sure to provide both a spiked and virgin eggnog bowl!
