Wedding Wednesday… Furnish Your Ceremony

August 22, 2012

What do you do when your ceremony spot is a blank slate? Bring in some vintage furniture or some cool reclaimed doors and windows to add some personality, structure, and instant style!

I am absolutely in love with this idea of using a hutch for your ceremony. This bride borrowed the hutch from her parents’ dining room! It’s sentimental and a great place to display family photos, flowers, and other cherished items.

You can find reclaimed doors like these from salvage stores or just ask around! You’d be surprised what friends and family have in storage!

Stinking. creative. I can’t say enough about how amazing this ladder set up is and how easy it would be for any bride to create! All you need is three ladders – place two on each side and lay one over top! You may want to secure the top ladder to each side ladder with twine just to make it a bit sturdier. Adorn the ladders with flowers or any sentimental items!

For a simple and completely darling decor idea, set a little side table up behind you and line up bud vases with flowers in a drawer. Such a cute way to add a little pop of color to your ceremony!

We recently had the opportunity to work with the adorable husband and wife team at Sassafrass Vintage Rentals who are amazing!  Their collection of vintage furniture and finds is incredible, and their attention to detail blew us away.  In addition if they don’t have what you are looking for they are always on the hunt for new stuff.  For events in New England you will want to give them a call!  We can’t wait to share with you the pictures from Laura & Kenny’s wedding at Saltwater Farm Vineyard, complete with vintage details.
