Wedding Wednesday… Katrina & Tim

November 23, 2011

Katrina and Tim were married on the gorgeous grounds of the Florence Griswold Museum in Old Lyme, Connecticut. As guests arrived, they were greeted with pre-ceremony welcome cocktails as they took in the beautiful afternoon sights. After a romantic first look and family photos, Katrina and Tim’s ceremony was held at river’s edge, on the banks of the Lieutenant River. Afterwards, friends and family mingled over cocktails and scrumptious bites before the main reception began in the tent. Rustic garden elements abounded, from the chalkboard menu and table numbers, to the mason jar cocktails, burlap table runners, and distressed wood accents. The florals brought in the most amazing colors of deep pinks, plums, greens and white to really add to the romantic, rustic garden style.  The bridesmaids’ dresses echoed the beautiful aubergine colors and the groomsmen wore matching ties and a pop of bright green with their socks.

The reception carried away throughout the evening as guests were treated to a delicious dessert pie bar, complete with an adorable wedding cake. If guests needed a break from dancing they could walk down the candlelit path to the water, making sure to grab a cookie favor on their way. Uplift Photography so effortlessly captured the love and romance felt all around on this day.

Wishing Katrina and Tim love and happiness in their new life together!
