This week one of the greatest public figures of our generation passed away and all over the world people stopped to take notice and to remember some of the wisdom that Steve Jobs left behind. These words from his commencement speech at Stanford University in 2005, really rang true for me.
…You’ve got to find what you love. And that is as true for your work as it is for your lovers. Your work is going to fill a large part of your life, and the only way to be truly satisfied is to do what you believe is great work. And the only way to do great work is to love what you do. If you haven’t found it yet, keep looking. Don’t settle. As with all matters of the heart, you’ll know when you find it. And, like any great relationship, it just gets better and better as the years roll on. So keep looking until you find it. Don’t settle.
Life is precious and is short. With the passing of this brilliant man, we are reminded to embrace life and the time we are given.
Happy Friday Everyone!
Wine of the Week…
Williamette Valley Vineyards Whole Cluster Pinot Noir 2010
This wine is really a gem! Because of the whole cluster fermentation it is different than a typical Pinot Noir. The wine is a deep ruby color when poured, has great fruit and earthy notes that make it generally well balanced. It is dangerously easy to drink and definitely would be a crowd pleaser wherever it is served. I tried it once at room temperature and once slightly chilled, which changed the characteristics a bit, but perfect and yummy either way!
