One of my favorite nights of fashion took place last night, the Costume Insitute Gala, nicknamed the The Met Ball, organized by fashion Goddess and Vogue Editor-in-Chief, Anna Wintour. Every year the ball has a theme that stars keep in mind while putting together their ‘looks’ for the night. This year the theme was particularly A.Mazing, “White Tie and Decorations” and is an ode to the late anglo-American Designer, Charles James, known as ‘America’s First Couturier’. Celebrities kicked up their glitz and glam, outdoing even the most highly anticipated red carpet awards shows. I wasn’t only scoping out the gorgeous vintage inspired gowns but also what my favorite celebrities were donning on their feet. I saw a lot of strappy heels, classic pumps in rich materials and gem adorned sandals. In the spirit of the Costume Institute Gala, I chose these Jimmy Choo ‘Kallai Leaf’ detailed cage sandals for Tuesday Shoesday. These would be stunning poking out from beneath a extravagant gown or on display in a daring slit. The Kallai’s also come in nude but I fell in love with the gradient sparkle that ombre’d from deep purple to emerald green, these colors are like a visual snack for your eyes. The leaf like cut outs and barely there ankle strap were just the cherry on top of this fashion sundae.
